Heal and Kill in Equal Measure
The Combat Medic toggles between healing and fighting. Not a passive healer — you deal respectable damage while keeping everyone alive. Mode toggle between Heal Gun (nano-heal darts, AoE regen fields) and Combat Rifle (solid DPS, combat stims).
Solo: self-sustaining, can't die. Coop: the reason everyone else can be reckless.
Dual-Mode Combat System
Instant switch between Heal Gun and Combat Rifle. Each mode has its own abilities. Mastering the swap timing is the core Medic skill.
Targeted nano-heal darts, AoE regen zones, cleanse debuffs. Primary healing mode for keeping allies alive through sustained pressure.
Solid ranged DPS, combat stims that buff allies in radius. Switch to this when healing isn't needed and you want to contribute damage.
Healing priority auto-targets lowest HP ally. Can be manually overridden for precise control in chaotic firefights.
Key Skills
Massive AoE heal burst + all allies get 5s damage immunity. The panic button that turns a wipe into a comeback. Cooldown: 180s.
Rapid-fire heal darts that bounce between injured allies. Smart targeting finds the ones who need it most. Efficient group healing on the move.
Inject target with combat stim, granting +30% attack speed and movement for 8s. Use on your DPS to push through tough encounters.
Killing enemies drops health packs. Healing allies grants you energy regeneration. The more you do, the more you can do.
First Do No Harm
Start: Eridan Station Medical Bay.
Best doctor on the station, you heal everyone regardless of faction. One night a dying man is brought in — gunshot wounds, anomaly burns. He whispers something and pushes a data chip into your hand before dying.
Within an hour Nexus agents come demanding the patient and everything he had. The patient is dead but you hid the chip. Nexus locks down the med-bay.
Escape through the station saving wounded civilians along the way — learning to toggle between healing and damage, triaging under fire. You reach the docking bay with the chip and a new understanding: sometimes doing no harm means fighting back.
Gate Frequency Data Chip — mysterious data from a dying stranger. Its significance becomes clear later.
Medical expertise, trusted by civilians. Unique medical dialogue options that open paths others can't access.
