The Walking Arsenal

The Gunner is about versatility at range. Swap between rifle for sustained damage, shotgun for burst and close-range punishment, and launcher for devastating AoE. Stance switching mid-combat is the skill expression — knowing which weapon to pull at which moment separates good Gunners from great ones.

Best sustained DPS in the game with strong area denial capabilities. Solo, the Gunner is comfortable at any range, always having an answer for what the encounter throws at you. In coop, you're the consistent damage dealer your team can always rely on.

Weapon Swap System

WEAPON SWAP

3 weapons at your disposal with instant swap between them. Each weapon has its own unique ability set. Mastering the rotation is key to maximizing damage.

RIFLE STANCE

Long range sustained DPS. Precision shots with headshot bonuses. Your bread-and-butter for consistent damage output at distance.

SHOTGUN STANCE

Close range burst damage. Knockback effects and wide cone attacks. Punishes anything foolish enough to close the gap.

LAUNCHER STANCE

AoE damage and area denial. Explosive rounds that control space and punish clusters. The answer to everything that groups up.

Arsenal Overload
ULTIMATE — OFFENSIVE

Dual-wield all weapons simultaneously for 10 seconds. No swap cooldown, +50% fire rate. Unleash the full arsenal at once for devastating burst windows.

Suppressing Fire
UTILITY — CONTROL

Spray an area with sustained fire. Enemies caught inside are slowed and take continuous damage. Excellent for zone control and denying movement.

Concussion Round
SHOTGUN — OFFENSIVE

Massive knockback blast that staggers everything in a cone. Creates breathing room and punishes melee attackers. High stagger, moderate damage.

Targeting System
PASSIVE — DPS

Consecutive hits on the same target increase damage by 5% per hit, stacking up to 10 times. Rewards focus fire and accurate shooting.

The Debt

Start: Drift Union Outpost, deep frontier space.

Freelancer mercenary. Good shot, bad with money. You owe someone big — the kind of debt that doesn't go away with polite conversation. When a "last job" comes through — a cargo run too well-paid to be legal — you take it because you don't have a choice.

The cargo turns out to be Anomaly-material. The ambush comes not from pirates, but from Nexus Corp. You fight your way through an asteroid belt in a running firefight that serves as your baptism by fire.

You arrive at Eridan Station with a piece of anomaly material in your possession and Nexus Corp hunting you. The debt is still there — but now you've got bigger problems.

Anomaly Material Fragment — a piece of the cargo that started everything. Its properties become significant as the story unfolds.
